“ We were delighted to get a reservation for five people for lunch on New Year's Eve (day). The host on the phone was very helpful and accommodating. Once inside, the decor was festive and there was a lot to look at, especially during the holidays. Fun Christmas music played over the constant restaurant chatter. We were seated and received drinks and rolls pretty quickly. We were at first a little distracted by the assassin bug crawling on our table and later up the wall near us. But apparently, he just wanted to hang out! I opted for the Schnitzel with noodles special and also tried some of my daughter's berry salad. The clam chowder was tasty, creamy, and served with crisp bacon bits on top. The food was decent and plentiful, but I was a little disappointed with my spaetzle, which was somewhat dry. I have had it at other German restaurants and I was hoping for a moister, fresher tasting noodle. Service was great and the place was pretty packed around 1 p.m. We did not have dessert but the pastries in the case sure looked delicious. We were just too full for anything else. The price for our meals and drinks was lower than we expected, so that was a nice surprise. This is a fun place to go with a group though. They have a robust drink menu too. ”

“ What a treat to find Edelweiss via Yelp! I sat at the downstairs bar and had terrific service from everyone -- sort of like a team approach to service. A special shout out to JUSTIN for being an all-around fun guy who speaks perfect German! I started with the goulash, which was outstanding. It was accompanied by German bread that was fantastic. I then had the waldorf chicken salad, which was terrific and served in the largest plate of gorgeous, fresh fruit you've ever seen! My drink was a grapefruit Radler, served in a chilled German goblet. Delicious! (The only sour note was a slice of Yule log dessert that I took home for later. It was extremely dry, and I could not eat it.) There is plenty of parking, and I'm told there is live German music on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. They even have a basement which is huge! So many nooks and crannies full of wonderful things. The accordion player was amazing and did several different songs. His stamina is impressive. “ Delicious! Staff is extremely friendly and will make recommendations, don't be afraid to ask questions if you have never had German food. The place is adorable, they have an accordion player in the dining room total German charm. We ordered several menus item highly recommend the German salad, veal instead of the pork, and the chicken potato dumpling soup it was AMAZING wish I could have brought some home on flight with me !!! I would be a regular customer if I was a local. Also, reservations are recommended the place does get really busy even weeknights. ”
